Is vinegar and water a good and environmentally friendly house cleaner? What can and can't you clean with it?
Posted under vinegar for house cleaningI've been told by a friend that she cleans with vinegar and water. Is this a good way to clean and is it environmentally safe? What are surfaces you can't use this solution on?
Its a great environmentally safe cleaner. I've used white vinegar in clothes and in carpet cleaners to deordize.

This website is great http://www.about.com There is a search box and just type in vinegar. It will bring up all the recipes and uses for cleaning. It pretty much is the only cleaner you need. Check out baking soda too. Between the two, you have everything covered. It's awesome-have fun and happy cleaning!

I have hard water where I live and I use vinegar to remove hard water stains from drains and the toilet bowl. It works if you have the time to let it sit on the stain. And yes, It is safe for the environment,

Yes. have a look at http://www.vinegar.com
On an episode of "Jon & Kate plus 8" Sara Snow was there and she showed Kate how to use vinegar and water to clean just about everything. She used it on her counter tops mostly, but I would use it on any hard surface.
Children's toys are probably good things to use vinegar/water on. It's a safe for them and a disinfectant too.
