I have pre treated with purple solution (diluted never straight from bottle) and then used Gain in carpet cleaner. Gets out all stains (including Welches purple grape juice) and smells so nice! Bathrooms and kitchen get cleaned with bleach. Once in awhile I like to use Fabuloso because it smells very nice.

I use white vinegar in my steam cleaner. Carpet shampoos leave a residue which attracts more dirt. The vinegar cleans great and doesnt leave a greasy feel to the carpet.
The smell might bother some people, but I just open a window to let the breeze in or burn a scented candle. The smell disappears in a few hours and your left with beautiful carpets.

My son whose- 1 1/2 recently dumped a WHOLE bottle of liquid foundation on my light colored berber rug in the livingroom… In a panic I grabbed my laundry pretreater- SPRAY n WASH with RESOLVE and sprayed the dinner plate sized stain and let it sit… I blotted the stain with papertowels and a damp microfiber cloth… I don’t have a carpet cleaner so I used my wet/dry shopvac… It took the stain right out and I rinsed it with warm water…. It took several tries but, you can’t tell there was anything there! So, I recommend buying SPRAY n WASH w/ RESOLVE it’s GREAT and you can use it for the laundry!
